To bump my order up for free shipping, I got Fresh's Citron de Vigne rollerball which I don't like, unfortunately. I think the scent warped a little from the heat, since the bottle was pretty warm to the touch when I got it. Either that, or it might be too bitter/herbal for my taste. I'll be exchanging it for something else, probably.
Pretty much the other reason I placed an order online, a 7 day sample of Ole Henriksen's 3 Little Wonders. I was thinking about using this on my trip to Canada because it's so travel friendly, but I've read somewhere that a good rule of thumb is to never try out new products while traveling since you don't know how your skin could react to it. And you probably don't want to be traveling with angry skin! So far I've used one of the sets and it's plenty enough for two days. Nothing bad is happening so far, so I'm assuming that my skin agrees with it!
Until next time,
Becky
I really want that cleansing balm. I've seen it pop up everywhere!! I'm glad you like it!
ReplyDeleteI've been trying out different cleansers lately, and really want to try a cleansing balm next. I'll have to remember to consider Clinique's cleansing balm next time I'm shopping for one!
ReplyDeleteI heard good things about the Clinique cleansing balm.
ReplyDeleteThe cleansing balm sounds really lovely, will have to give it a try very soon I think! xx
ReplyDeleteI'm more of a cleansing oils + bioderma gal, but this Clinique one sounds great!

You should give it a try, it's also cheaper than most balms in terms of price :)
ReplyDeleteCleansing oils are a too messy for me, though they work just as well! I've only tried one by Boscia, from my sister's skincare :P
ReplyDeleteYou should! I used to use the Clinique balm to take makeup off and then follow up with a foamy cleanser, but I think it's even better as a cleanser than makeup remover.
ReplyDeleteIt is! I want to try REN's cleansing balm as well, though it's a tad more expensive if you're comparing how much you're paying for the ounce.
ReplyDeleteYou should, I feel like it's the most gentle cleanser I've tried. My mom is a huge fan of Clinique, she loves that they don't add fragrances to their products.
ReplyDeleteYou should give it a try! It's excellent for removing makeup and cleansing :)
ReplyDeleteNice lil' haul! I've been very curious to try that Clinique cleansing balm.
ReplyDeleteOooh that Clinique Cleansing Balm sounds delightful! But do you still follow up with a facial wash after? Im curious! I dont know how cleansing balms work. Do they function as cleanser as well?
ReplyDeleteI used to use it as a makeup remover, then facial wash. It left a lot of residual makeup on my cotton pad with toner if i use it alone to remove makeup and as a cleanser. But I found that its much more effective when I use a makeup remover and then use the balm as a facial wash (I think that's how you're supposed to use it anyway??), the cotton pad I use toner with leaves no traces of leftover makeup! Plus my face isn't dry at all, whereas other cleansers leave that tingly dry feeling.
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad that the roller-ball perfume is too herbal for you. I thought it would be hard to go wrong with something lemon scented.
ReplyDeleteShame you didn't like the Fresh scent. I haven't had luck with their scents either. They're not for me x
ReplyDeleteAh, I'm sorry that you didn't like the perfume. The packaging is gorgeous though! Glad you liked everything else though :)
ReplyDeleteI exchanged it the shower gel instead, and it smells a lot better!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried many of their scents, but I like the sugar lychee one a lot! Most of their scents are nice at first whiff (what lol) but they seem to last a very short time or change scent ;(
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling that it might have warped from the heat! I exchanged it for the same scent in the shower gel and it smells much nicer!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's one of my favorite cleansers!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried a cleansing balm before! I've always liked the skin care stuff I've tried from Clinique before, so maybe I'll give it a try!
