i got a mirror!

That's right! If you've been with my blog at the beginning stages, you'll remember my shameless "ootd taken in a target/marshalls/whatever dressing room" posts. Well that's all in the past, cause last weekend Pramod graciously drove me to Ikea to get a mirror. I got the Stave mirror, the same one in the picture. I can now take somewhat proper outfit posts. It's not as legit as the ones in fashion/style blogs, but it's tolerable at the moment. Plus people on Instagram do it all the time, so it's okay right???

i bought a dslr!

If you couldn't tell from the title already, I bought my first DSLR camera! It's a Canon T3i, and I wanted this for a long time - since when it was new on the market a few years ago, actually! I was always on and off about it since I didn't want to shell out the money, just to be overwhelmed by the manual settings and end up not using it at all. I'm happy to say that it's a lot of fun so far, and I can't wait to take more pictures!

Granted both the body and lens are used, but I don't mind. I can be super clumsy about things like dropping my phone and getting scratches on it (but let's hope I don't drop my camera, haha), so I stopped caring so much about getting cosmetic flaws on my electronics a long time ago. If I know that I'm gonna get the exterior battered up anyway, might as well buy it with the slight imperfections and save myself a couple hundred dollars yes? ;)

Also, I don't seem to post pictures of myself often - so hello there!

a quick update

Hey guys! As you can tell, I'm still as bad as ever when it comes to updating these days. I feel like I've kinda lost the drive for this blogging thing since I'm always so tired from work. I'm sure everyone feels like this once in a while though, and the real difference between me and them is that they'll manage to pull through no matter how busy life is, or how tiring/boring blogging can get at times. Then maybe the fun and charm in blogging will come back, sooner or later.

That being said, I (maybe) have a few posts planned out so keep an eye out for them (maybe)! Hope you're all doing well in the meantime! <3

i'm back!

Yessss, hello! I'm not really sure what to write to re-introduce myself to blogging, so I guess I'll just insert some of my favorite Instagram pictures over the last six or so months with nifty captions. There's a gap around November - December because I dropped my phone in the toilet, oops. I got a new one not too long ago though!

My parents and I went to Canada for the summer. We went to some pretty awesome places like Parliament and Ausable Chasm (which was actually in New York), and did some pretty cool things like stand on the CN Tower's glass floor and eat at the revolving restaurant at Skylon Tower. The actual process of going to these places was so tiring, though. We went as a tour group so we woke up early, went to sleep late, and the whole thing was just really rushed. The best part was seeing my parents happy, so it was worth it :).

Other miscellaneous stuff. Hydrangeas in mom's front garden from the springtime, her flowers are always so pretty. Lumiere de Vie came out with a body lotion a while ago which I've been liking a lot. A pretty white rose. Being a deviled egg for Halloween. Questionably dyeing my hair bold colors - or at least, just the bottom part. And lastly Copi, one of the cutest dogs in the world ♥!
